Clear PET cups, and when to use them
PET is the clear, glassy plastic used for cold drinks that need to look good in the hand: iced coffee, smoothies, boba, aguas frescas, layered parfaits. It resists cracking far better than thin polypropylene, and it stays clear rather than clouding, which is why coffee shops and juice bars standardise on it.
The rim size is the spec that matters. A 32 oz, 107 mm rim cup takes the lid marked with the same millimetre rim, and a 98 mm dome fits the 14, 16, 20 and 24 oz cups alike, so one lid can cover most of a drink menu. Buy the cup and the lid together and check the rim, not the ounces.
