A tape gun dispenser with a brake — the brake is the point: it stops the stretch-and-snap that wastes a third of every cheap roll.

Why the dispenser matters

A dispenser without tension control stretches the tape as it comes off the roll. Stretched tape shrinks back on the box, lifts at the edges, and the seal fails somewhere between your bench and the customer.

A braked gun applies tape at consistent tension, cuts cleanly, and pays for itself in wasted roll alone on a busy bench.

USING IT WELL

Set the brake so the tape resists slightly as it feeds. Enough resistance that it lies flat, not so much that it tears.

Frequently asked

Which tape width fits?

Match the gun to the tape — a 2" gun runs 2" tape. Mixing widths is the usual cause of tracking problems.

Is a dispenser worth it for low volume?

Even at a few boxes a day it improves the seal. At high volume the roll savings alone justify it.
