How to choose poly bags
Poly bags are simple until you order the wrong thickness for the job. The mil rating (1 mil = 1/1000") is the whole game:

Closure type: flat bags (taped or heat-sealed) are cheapest for one-time packing; reclosable zip bags cost more per bag but earn it wherever the bag gets opened repeatedly — parts bins, retail, samples. Special jobs need special film: anti-static bags for electronics, VCI film for rust-prone metal, suffocation-warning bags for anything e-commerce, food-grade for edibles, and gusseted bags when the contents are bulky.
