Stretch Wraps & Film

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Keep pallets secure with hand stretch film, machine stretch film, and economical pre-stretch wrap — stocked in gauges from 30GA to 120GA, clear, black, and colored. We supply Houston warehouses and shippers by the case or by the pallet, with expert help choosing the right gauge so you stop overspending on film.

How to choose stretch wrap

Stretch film is where warehouses quietly overspend. The right film for your loads is a math problem — here's the short version.

Gauge (thickness) follows load weight and sharpness. Light, uniform loads under ~1,500 lbs wrap fine in 47–60 gauge. Standard mixed pallets up to ~2,200 lbs: 63–80 gauge, the workhorse range. Heavy or sharp-edged loads (metal, lumber): 90–120 gauge. Wrapping light loads in heavy film is pure waste; the reverse gets you film punctures and leaning pallets.

Hand film vs. machine film is a volume question. Below ~15 pallets a day, hand wrapping is fine — use pre-stretch film, which is lighter, easier on workers, and cheaper per pallet than conventional film that most crews under-stretch anyway. Above ~15 pallets daily, a wrapper machine typically pays for itself within a couple of years in film savings alone, because machines stretch film properly (up to 250%) where people manage maybe 20%.

Color has a job. Clear for standard loads and scanning, black for concealing contents in mixed storage, colored films for coding by lane, customer, or dock.

If you tell us your typical pallet weight, load type, and pallets per day, we'll recommend a gauge and estimate your monthly usage — customers switching from the wrong film routinely cut their film spend meaningfully. Local stock on Harwin Dr, by the case or the pallet.
